Description
Street view of an 1884 Ahren's Horse-Drawn Steam Fire Engine, manufactured in Cincinnati. The engine is being pulled by two Chestnut horses with flaxen manes and tails. The building in the background is Engine House Number 16 at 260 North Front Street. Built in 1908 and renovated in 1990, this building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The signs on the building read: “Fire Prevention Week October” and “Firefighters Burn Unit Children’s Hospital.” The vehicle on the left has signage for the Pataskala Volunteer Fire Department.
