Jerusalem (Modern Hebrew: ירושלים Yerushaláyim, Biblical Hebrew: ירושלם, Christian Arabic: أورشليم Urshalim, Muslim Arabic القدس al-Quds, is an ancient Middle Eastern city of key importance to the religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Jerusalem is also the self-proclaimed capital of Palestine, and of Israel, and is the latter's seat of government.
