English: Antonio Pigafetta (ca. 1491 – ca. 1534), was an Italian navigator born in Vicenza. He paid a large sum of money to accompany and assist Ferdinand Magellan and his crew on their trip around the world. He kept an accurate journal of the trip, the source for most of what we know about the voyage.

Pagò un notevole biglietto di viaggio per accompagnare ed assistere Ferdinando Magellano e il suo equipaggio nella prima circumnavigazione del mondo. La sua relazione, tratta dai diari che tenne a bordo, è la fonte della maggior parte di ciò che è noto sul viaggio.
