Georgia is a country in Eurasia to the east of the Black Sea, most of which is located in the South Caucasus, while a portion of the territory lies in the North Caucasus. It shares borders with ► Russia and its republics of ► Karachay-Cherkessia, ► Kabardino-Balkaria, ► North Ossetia-Alania, ► Chechnya and ► Dagestan in the north and ► Turkey, ► Armenia, and ► Azerbaijan in the south. In the north both ► Abkhazia and ► South Ossetia broke away. In the south Georgia includes he autonomous republic of ► Adjara.
