Azawakh, FCI No. 307
The Azawakh is a primitive breed known to some as the South Saharan Greyhound, Touareg Sloughi or Idii N'illeli. This is a typical desert type sighthound, known from the Niger basin of Sahel and the South Saharan desert in Africa. By cynologists thought to be the most original breed among today's sighthounds.
