The European Grass Snake (Natrix natrix) is a non-venomous snake. It is often found near water and feeds almost exclusively on amphibians. The specimen in the picture is an adult female with a length of approximately one metre. Yellow skin tones are due to ambient light. Under neutral light the specimen is mainly grey/white.
