English: US 16 inch 50 caliber Mark 2 and 3 naval guns of the 1920s. The ships they were intended for were cancelled as a result of the Washington Naval Treaty, so all guns built were used ashore for coast defense. They were a different design to the US Army's 16 inch M1919 coast defence gun, althought eventually used for the same purpose with the same ammunition.
