English: 187th Infantry Regiment (Rakkasans) is a unit of the United States Army, first activated in 1943 when it was assigned to the 11th Airborne Division. It has served as a glider, parachute and air landing infantry unit. The current force, the 3rd battalion/3rd brigade, is a helicopter air assault unit that was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division in 1964.
