Alūksne (Marienburg) Castle was a castle on the Eastern Border of the Old Livonia, in current Alūksne town in North-Eastern Latvia. The castle was built 1342 on the largest island (Pils Sala or Marias Sala) in Alūksne lake and was considered being one of the strongest in Old Livonia.
