The Battle of Armageddon occurs after the sixth bowl of God's wrath is poured out and after the Church has been removed fro the Earth. Christ will bring an army of believers with Him when he comes the second time to strike down the Beast and the False Prophet, the Kings of the Earth and the Nations (the pagan unbelievers who persecuted the Church and accepted the mark of the Beast.) Christ will redeem the Believers from the Earth when he comes the second time. This will be the Harvest at the End of the age. It will co-incide with the resurrection of believers. It will happen in the twinkling of an eye. Both the dead and the living in Christ will meet with him in the air and so they will remain with Christ forever. God will then pour out His wrath upon the nations of the Earth who are be left behind. This will be the Great and Awesome 'Day of the Lord' mentioned in the Old Testament and also known as the battle of Armageddon in the New Testament. Christ will bring an Army of believers with Him and he will strike down the Nations (Rev 19).
