English: Atticall ( Irish: Ait Ti Chathail) is a small village in County Down, Northern Ireland, in the Mountains of Mourne. The name Atticall is thought to have come from the Irish: "place of the hazels". There are still some wild hazel trees particularly on the banks of the Yellow water river. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 153 people. It lies within the Newry and Mourne District Council area.
