English: A design of watertube boiler, characterised by a single large horizontal steam drum at the top, and with the main heating surface being straight sloping watertubes below. At each end are a number of complex-shaped risers and downcomers to connect them. Furnace gases pass through an N-shaped path between these tubes, from the upper (hotter) end to the lower of the watertubes.
