English: The Beslan hostage crisis contains media related to the September 1, 2004 terrorist attack on a school on the Russian town of Beslan in North Ossetia. More than 1,200 civilians were taken hostage, and more than 344 killed.
Русский: Террористи́ческий акт в Бесла́не — захват заложников в школе № 1 города Беслан (Северная Осетия), совершённый боевиками 1 сентября 2004 года. В течение трёх дней террористы удерживали в здании школы 1128 человек (преимущественно, детей, а также их родителей и сотрудников школы) в нечеловеческих условиях, отказывая заложникам даже в минимальных естественных надобностях.
