English: The cenotaph in front of the British Columbia legislature building is the main war memorial in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, and it features prominently in official ceremonies every Remembrance Day. Unveiled by Lt.-Gov. W.C. Nichol on July 12, 1925, the Cenotaph commemorates the sacrifices of Canadian Forces personnel and citizens during both World Wars, the Korean War and peacekeeping missions. The bronze statue was designed by sculptors Vernon and Sidney March of Farnborough, Kent, who later created the National War Memorial in Ottawa.
