  • English: Caryatids (columns in the shape of women) are 420 ca. BC statues by Alcamenes on the porch of the Erechtheion (Athens, Greece).

Note: since 1977, cement casts replaced the originals, in order to protect them from air pollution and corrosion. The originals are now on display in the Acropolis New Museum, except one which is at the British Museum in London. Please put post-1977 images into the Category:Replicas of the Caryatids at the Erectheum (Athens).

Internationalization

Deutsch: Karyatiden/Koren des Erechtheion · English: Caryatids of the Erechtheum · Italiano: Cariatidi dell'Eretteo (Atene). ·
