English: The Central Cross-Island Highway was hewn through Taiwan's mountainous interior, crossing the Central Range and linking the island's west amd east coasts.The complete cross-island link consists of three sections: the main route, a 194.2 kilometers route from Dongshi in the west to the Suhua Highway on the east coast; a branch running north from Lishan to Yilan(the route called " Yilan Spur "); and a spur route from Wushe(the route called " Wushe Spur ").
