English: The Commmunity Church of New York and Metropolitan Synagogue of New York, located at 40 East 35th Street between Park and Madison Avenues in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, was built in 1940-48 and was designed by Magoon & Salo in the International style. The Community Church, a Unitarian Universalist congregation, dates from 1825, while the reform Metropolitan Synagogue, which shares the building, was founded in 1959.
