English: The barque DER VERSUCH was built in 1856 by L. Petermann in Danzig for C.J. Rokicki jr., Danzig. The launch was on 30 September 1856 (376 NRT). The barque was driven by 11-man crew. She had many owners. July 1883, the barque was on the trip with coal from Cardiff to Quebec in the Atlantic at about 50°09'N 17°45'W sinking abandoned by the crew. All crew members survived.[1]
