Deutsch: Die Deutsche Marine sind die Seestreitkräfte des wiedervereingten Deutschland. Bis 1990 nannten sich die Marinestreitkräfte der Bundesrepublik "Bundesmarine", eine Bezeichung, die sie nach Verschmelzen mit der ehemaligen "Volksmarine" der DDR aufgab.
English: The German Marine ('German navy') is the navy of the reunited Germany. Until 1990 the navy of the Federal Republic was called "Bundesmarine" ('Federal navy'), a name that has been dropped after merging with the former "Volksmarine" of the GDR.
