English: Eilean Donan Castle is a rebuilt castle at Dornie in the Scottish Highlands. It is located on Eilean Donan, an island near the point where the sea lochs Loch Duich, Loch Alsh and Loch Long meet. The Isle of Skye is visible from the castle.
The wall surrounding the castle's courtyard was built in the 13th century. The keep standing in one corner was built in the 14th century. It was battered into submission in 1719 and fell into ruins. In the 20th century, it was rebuilt. Eilean Donan is open to the public.
