English: Empire of Japan was the Japanese history which was ruled by Tenno and was the imperial period, from 1868 to 1945. More commonly, the Imperial Japan or Prewar Japan.
日本語: 大日本帝国は、日本の歴史で、大日本帝国憲法下の天皇主権時代に当たる1868年から1945年までをいう。第二次世界大戦前の時代で、戦前と呼ばれることも多い。又、帝国主義の政治と外交が布かれたことから、帝国時代や帝国日本と呼ばれることもある。
