English: Empress Irene, born Princess Piroska of Hungary (*1088 – †13 August 1134), was a daughter of King Ladislaus I of Hungary and Princess Adelaide of Swabia. She was married to Byzantine Emperor John II Comnenus. She and Emperor John had eight children. She was later venerated as Saint Irene.
