English: The Falstaff was built at Barrow-in-Furness by the Barrow Shipbuilding Co. for James Beazley & Sons of Liverpool and launched on 24th February 1875. Ordered for the Indian jute trade, she was registered at 1465 tons gross and measured 238 ft (72.5 m) in length with a 38 ft (11.6 m) beam. Sold to W.B. Jones and registered in Swansea, in 1903, she nearly foundered on a passage from London - Melbourne. Purchased by the Pacific Steam Navigation Co. shortly afterwards, she ended her days as a coak hulk at Callao, Chile.
She was probably originally a fully rigged ship.
