Flora Sinensis from 1656 is one of the first (European) natural history books about China. Michael Boym was a Jesuit Missionary from Poland. The book obviously includes some species that are neither plants nor Chinese.
The illustrations were made from screen captures from a flash zoom interface and the colour was slightly enhanced.
