English: Grigore Antipa ( 27 November 1867, Botoşani – 9 March, 1944 Bucharest) was a Romanian Darwinist biologist who studied the fauna of the Danube Delta and the Black Sea. Il fit ses études universitaires à Iéna, en Allemagne, auprès du créateur de l'écologie: Ernst Haeckel (1834-1919). Il commença ses recherches en France (stations de biologie marine de Roscoff, de Banyuls et de Villefranche-sur-Mer) et en Italie, à Capri, où il fit des découvertes pharmacologiquement importantes sur le thymus des poissons et décrit une méduse fixée, la Capria sturdzii. A făcut studii universitare la Jena, cu celebrul naturalist Ernst Haeckel (1834-1919), inventatorul ecologiei. Şi-a continuat cercetările ştiinţifice în Franţa şi Italia.
