High Plateaus Section, of the en:Colorado Plateau, in south central, and central-southwest Utah, and for north Arizona, at the Utah-Arizona border region, north of the Grand Canyon, and south to the en:Mogollon Plateau bordered by the en:Mogollon Rim. In both Utah and Arizona, the section is bordered on the east by the en:Canyon Lands.
West borders:
For Arizona, Lake Mead region, and northwest, the Virgin River, and region draining southwest Utah; the en:Escalante Desert of the south Great Basin borders northwest;
Utah west border, the en:Great Basin northwest, with the Escalante Desert, west-northwest, and the en:Sevier Desert northwest, (with the en:Paunsaugunt Plateau encircled inside the en:Sevier River watershed). Directly west in Utah, the border is the Virgin River drainage, with mountain range sections northwest at the south border of the Escalante Desert. (The en:Kaiparowits Plateau is one of the major plateau landforms of Utah encircled in the Canyon Lands region to the east.)
