English: The Hippodrome of Constantinople was a horse-racing track that was the sporting and social centre of Constantinople, capital of the Byzantine Empire and the largest city in Europe. Today it is a square named Sultanahmet Meydanı in the Turkish city of Istanbul, with only a few fragments of the original structure surviving.
Italiano: L'Ippodromo di Costantinopoli, costruito in epoca romana, era sede delle popolarissime corse di cavalli, e costituiva il centro sportivo e sociale di Costantinopoli (oggi Istanbul), capitale dell'impero romano d'Oriente prima e dell'Impero bizantino poi, nonché la più grande città dell'epoca in Europa. Caduto in rovina, sullo spiazzo sorge oggi la piazza Sultanahmet Meydanı. Della costruzione romana e bizantina restano oggi alcuni frammenti e strutture.
Türkçe: Sultanahmet Meydanı Bizans İmparatorluğu döneminde at yarışlarının yapıldığı bu alan da bugün çok sayıda tarihî mekân bulunmaktadır.
