Hussain Sagar (Telugu: హుస్సేన్ సాగర్) is a lake in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, built by en:Hazrat Hussain Shah Wali in 1562 on a tributary of the Musi River to meet the water and irrigation needs of the city. There is a large monolithic statue of the Buddha in the middle of the lake. 17°27′0″N 78°30′0″E / 17.45°N 78.5°E
