Category:Interwiki utility templates

This category is used for categorizing templates. It should not contain media files or pages outside the template namespace (with some exceptions).

[edit] Purpose

Project: Interwiki template tracking; Group those templates 'names' (guts usually need modified some) which are shared/listed both on the Commons and on en.wikipedia space. These are usually template's originating on en.wikipedia or Meta (which share many of the same programmers) and are auto-categorized by including Template:WikiPcat (edit talk links history), Template:WikiPcatM (edit talk links history), or Template:Wiktionarytmp (edit talk links history) on the Commons template page, each of which lists them here.

The porting may have occurred from the Commons to the encyclopedia as well, but such will be rare save for templates operating solely within image categories (maps, engravings, images, etc.).
