Jesse Evans (1853-?) was an american outlaw, cowboy and robber. Evans was associated with Henry "Bill the Kid" McCartey and took part in the Licoln County War during the 1870s. After he escaped from jail in 1882, he vanished. In 1948, a man called Joe Hines claimed to be Jesse Evans. Most historians accept this and it seems a fact, that this old man was Evans himself.

Evans stand in Verbindung mit Henry „Billy the Kid“ McCartey and nahm an dem Lincoln-County-Rinderkrieg während der 1870er-Jahre teil. Nachdem er 1882 aus dem Gefängnis floh, verliert sich seine Spur. 1948 behauptete ein Mann namens Joe Hines Jesse Evans zu sein. Die meisten Historiker vertreten ebenfalls diese These und es scheint Fakt zu sein, dass dieser alte Man Evans selbst war.
