Kach is an Israeli right-wing political movement established by the US-born Rabbi Meir Kahana. It ran as a political party in the 1984 Israeli general elections, and won one seat in the Knesset. In 1988 it was banned from running in the elections by the nationwide election committee and the Israeli Supreme Court on the ground of promoting racist policy. In 1994 the Israeli government declared Kach an illegal terrorist organization.
