English: A katōmado is a style of pointed arch window found in Japanese architecture. It was originally an element of Zen architecture, imported from China, and during the Azuchi-Momoyama period came to be used outside Zen: in other sects of Buddhism, in Shinto shrines, in castles, and in samurai residences.
日本語: 華頭窓
