Deutsch: Klaus Hänsch (* 15. Dezember 1938 in Sprottau, Schlesien) war von 1979 bis 2009 Mitglied des Europäischen Parlaments und Mitglied der Sozialdemokratischen Fraktion im Europäischen Parlament. Von 1994 bis 1997 war er Präsident des Europäischen Parlaments.
English: Klaus Hänsch (born 15 December 1938 in Sprottau) is a German Politician. He is a Member of the European Parliament representing the SPD. He has been Vice-chairman of the PES group since 1989, except during his service as President of the European Parliament from 1994 to 1997.
