English: Krishnanattam is a temple art in Kerala, India. It is a dance drama and presents the story of Krishna in a series of eight plays and was created by Manaveda (1585-1658 AD), the then Zamorin Raja of Calicut in northern Kerala.
മലയാളം: കേരളത്തിന്റെ തനതുകല എന്ന് വിശ്വപ്രസിദ്ധിയാർജ്ജിച്ച കഥകളിയുടെ മൂലകലയും കേരളീയമായ ആദ്യത്തെ നൃത്തനാടകവുമാണ് കൃഷ്ണനാട്ടം. കോഴിക്കോട് സാമൂതിരിയായിരുന്ന മാനവേദനാൽ (1595-1658 കൃ.വ.) രചിക്കപ്പെട്ട കൃഷ്ണഗീതിയെന്ന കാവ്യത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഉടലെടുത്ത കലാരൂപമാണ് കൃഷ്ണനാട്ടം.
