Juni 1998 eröffnet und liegt im Distrikt Sepang des malaysischen Bundesstaates Selangor, 44 Kilometer südlich der Hauptstadt Kuala Lumpur. Der Flughafen dient den malaysischen Fluggesellschaften Malaysia Airlines und Air Asia als Drehkreuz.
English: Kuala Lumpur International Airport (simplified Chinese:吉隆坡国际机场) or commonly known as KLIA is one of Asia's major aviation hubs, along with Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport, Hong Kong International Airport and Singapore Changi Airport. It is also Malaysia's main international airport. It is situated in Sepang district, in the south of the state of Selangor, about 50km from the capital city, Kuala Lumpur. Built at a cost of some US$3.5 billion, KLIA was opened on 27 June 1998.
