English: - Marco Polo (September 15, 1254 - January 8, 1324) was a Venetian trader and explorer who, together with his father and uncle, was under the first Westerners to travel the Silk Road to China (which he called Cathay). His travels are wrote down in the far read book Il Milione ("The Million" or The Travels of Marco Polo). Marco Polo is far known as one of the world's greatest explorers - although some skeptics much more see him as the world's greatest storyteller.
