English: Michael Fred Phelps II (born June 30, 1985 in Baltimore, Maryland) is an American swimmer who has held world records in several events. Phelps won eight medals (six gold) at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Phelps was named World Swimmer of the Year in 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007.
