Found in sandstone formations in Utah and Arizona.

2-(1B)--(only on Southwest Colorado Plateau, SW Utah region)--Moenave Formation-(ref: Blakey & Ranney, c 2008, Ancient Landscapes, of the Colorado Plateau-(fluvial, river origin, starting in northern Arizona, flowing NW to SW Utah))
1--Wingate Sandstone, (1st, and base member)
