Newtown Square aka Newtown Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania was a small town, as well as an official township, near Philadelphia. It's been known unofficially as Newtown Square since about 1690, i.e. before there was a Delaware County, United States, or even a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is now fairly suburban and hosts several corporate headquarters.
