English: Rona (Scottish Gaelic: Rònaigh) is a remote Scottish island in the North Atlantic. Rona is often referred to as North Rona in order to distinguish it from South Rona in the Inner Hebrides. The island lies 71 kilometres (44 mi) north of the Isle of Lewis and 18 kilometres (11 mi) east of Sula Sgeir. It is the remotest island in the British Isles to have ever been inhabited on a long-term basis.
