English: Old St. Brendan's Church is located at Castle Street within the town of Birr. Its origins go back to the 13th or 14th century. The north aisle and the tower are additions from the 17th century when it was used as a Protestant church. The site was possibly used by the monastery founded by St. Brendan in the 6th century.
