English: movable steam engines; portable steam engines. These are 19th century steam engines, used to provide temporary power on farms, such as when threshing at harvest-time. Usually owned by independent contractors, they were moved between farms as required. Although superficially resembling traction engines, these engines were not self-propelled and were pulled from farm to farm by horses.
Deutsch: Lokomobile
Norsk (bokmål): Lokomobil
日本語: 可搬式蒸気機関 トラクションエンジンと似ているが走行を目的とするものではなく別物である。
