English: Provinces (landskap) are historical subdivisions of Sweden of prehistoric origins, many of which were independent political entities during the Middle Ages. Their administrative functions were assumed by counties in 1634, but they have nevertheless remained culturally significant.
Svenska: Landskap är geografiska områden i Sverige som bygger på en historisk indelning som härstammar från forntiden. Många landskap var självständiga politiska enheter under medeltiden. Deras administrativa funktioner övertogs av länen 1634, men landskapen har fortsatt att ha en kulturellt viktig roll.
