Les quatre fils Aymon furent des preux célébrés par la littérature médiévale. Fils du duc Aymon, ils avaient pour nom Renaud, Guichard, Alard et Richardet. Ils possédaient en commun un seul cheval,nommé Bayard. La forêt des Ardennes et le château de Montauban furent les théâtres de leurs exploits.
