Deutsch: Reet (auch: Reeth, Reth, Reith, Ried, Riet, Rohr und ähnliches) bezeichnet das an Ufern oder auf sumpfigem Gelände wachsende Schilfrohr, das vielerorts in getrocknetem Zustand zur Dacheindeckung verwendet wird.
English: Thatching is the craft of covering a roof with dry vegetation such as straw, water reed, sedge, rushes and heather, layering the vegetation so as to shed water away from the inner roof.
