English: The San Rafael Swell is a large geologic and geographic formation in south-central Utah,

It is part of the physiographic Canyon Lands Section of the Colorado Plateau Province.
The San Rafael Swell is noted for sheer canyons and dramatic sandstone formations. It also contains a large amount of exposed fossilized dinosaur remains.
The area was difficult to access until the mid-20th century, when Interstate 70 was built into/through region.
