English: The Shingashi River is a 25.7 km river and a tributary of the Sumida River. Formed by the Akama River[1] and a drainage ditch at their confluence[2] near Yawata Bridge in Kaminodamachi 1-chōme, Kawagoe, it flows generally southeast through Fujimino, Shiki, etc., and merges the Sumida River at Kita, Tokyo.

  1. The Akama River departs from the Iruma River at Kasugachō, Iruma ("第5日目 霞川~源流") and flows northeast through Sayama and Kawagoe to become the Shingashi.
