English: Soltaniyeh, situated in the Province of Zanjan, some 240 km to the north-west from Tehran, used to be the capital of Ilkhanid rulers of Persia in the 14th century. Its name translates as "the Imperial".
Français : Sultaniya, ville du nord-ouest de l'Iran située entre Tabriz et Téhéran. Elle fut fondée en 1304 comme nouvelle capitale par l'ilkhan de Perse Oldjaïtou.
Nederlands: Soltaniyeh of Sultaniya is een dorp in Iran, gelegen in de provincie Zanjan. Het was in de veertiende eeuw de hoofdstad van het Ilkhanaat, één van de kanaaten van het Mongoolse Rijk. Aan het eind van de veertiende eeuw werd de stad door het leger Timoer Lenk verwoest, maar één gebouw bleef overeind staan: het 'mausoleum van Oljeitu'.
