English: Super8 was an emo/post-punk band from Monterrey, Mexico formed in 1999. It wasn´t until mid 2002 that the band started playing shows in the local area and gaining some type of national recognition among the mexican punk rock scene. The band consisted of Ernesto Vidal on guitar and vocals, Manuel Barella on bass, Adolfo Guerrero on guitar and vocals and Elias Garza on drums. The band released several E.p´s, such as "E.P. ; 2003" and "The Summerfall E.P." in 2004. During 2005, the band took a time off to record "The Nightingale E.P", a 5-song extended play that brings many different elements to the mix. Mostly oriented to indie rock and post punk, it was their most ambitious project by far. Super8 came to an end in July 2006.
