English: Tasmania was a four-masted full-rigged iron ship built in 1886 by Russell & Co., Port Glasgow, as new building yard No 158 for P. Denniston & Co., Glasgow. The dimensions were: length × beam × depth: 278.1 × 41.8 × 24.4 ft (84.8 × 12.7 × 7.4 m) and tonnage: 2269 GRT and 2175 NRT. 1889 converted to barque rig. 1911 sold to Skibs A/S Tasman (Grefstad & Herlofson), Arendal, Norway and renamed the Tasman. 1922 foundered and sank in the North Sea en route London — Drammen in ballast.[1][2]
